vagabond DOCTRINE

God has called me to tell the stories that go untold. the stories of tired souls that get passed over.

there is a need. it is wrapped in flesh and has blood coursing through it's veins. the need sits on cold damp nights shivering under layers of rags with the hope that tomorrow brings warmth and help.

but for most help doesn't come.

perhaps help doesn't come because we think someone else is doing it. perhaps restoration doesn't happen because we don't feel we are called to the downtrodden. perhaps our values and beliefs haven't quite begun to line up with the Gospel of Hope.

hope for the vagabond lies in the excess of the masses. it's our savings accounts we save for tomorrow, our retirement plans that stockpile for decades waiting to be utilized, our bank accounts that steadily increase, our knowledge of the hope of Christ that we consume weekly never to give it away... our excess we hoard for tomorrow could be used for the vagabond today.

vagabond JESUS will be a weekly blog consisting of a story and a picture.

the story will be the story of a vagabond.

beginning January 2010, i will tell the story of one vagabond.

you will look into their eyes and read their story.

with each story, a new piece of vagabond DOCTRINE will be written and i pray you see the Gospel within the lines of text and hear their cry.

after you read, it's up to you to decide...

will you help bring restoration to the hopeless

the unloved

the forgotten

the vagabond?
